Schofield Barracks

Schofield Barracks|Wheeler Army Airfield

Schofield Barracks is a US Army base and home of the 25th Infantry Division in the County of Honolulu near Wahiawa on the  island of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi.

Schofield Barracks is near Wahiawā and Lake Wilson.

Schofield Barracks site was established in 1908 to provide a base for the Army's mobile defense of Pearl Harbor and the entire Oahu island.

Schofield Barracks has a large commissary and Military Exchange with vendors and Food Court.

It has base housing offered to active, reserve, and DOD, and Retired military.

Wheeler Army Airfield| Wheeler Field originally was Wheeler Air Force Base, and now an Army post.

The Wahiawa Botanical Garden consist of 27 acres on a high plateau in central Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi, and is located between the Wai'anae & the Ko'olau mountain ranges. The last time I was there the entry was free.

Wahiawa has many restaurants and small businesses. Maui Mikes is one of my favorite with fresh Chicken and Sides. Another favorite is Taqueria EL Ranchero offering authentic house made dishes at great prices.

The Dole Pineapple Plantation and famous Haleiwa is just a short trip to the North with access to the North Shore and Sunset Beach.
